North Corfu occupies about half of the island and it offers a rich variety of natural environment, easy to reach. You can drive in less than an hour to the surrounding villages, beaches and sights.
Of course it is a must to visit at least once the historical centre of Corfu town, with it’s magestic palaces, churches and old buildings from the Venetian Era.

Best time to visit Corfu

In case you have the ability to choose the time to visit Corfu here are some factors to consider.
On the one hand you should consider the weather conditions depending on the time of the year and on the other hand the number of tourists visiting the island during high season. Of course these two factors are related.
Although most guests prefer the high season, June-August, spring and autumn time offers a unique experience and opportunity to discover the island when its less crowded and you can have more of the “local experience”.

Mind also that the holiday cost (accommodation and tickets) has exactly the same curve as the temperature and the occupancy!
