2I consider myself biased when reviewing the delightful houses at Almyra and Socrates as a host, because after the first visit to this wonderful place and after dealing with Socrates we are now more friends and brothers than host and client. Nevertheless, without exaggeration it is fair to say that you will likely not find a more relaxing and idyllic spot in Corfu than these houses, nor a more friendly, courteous and genuinely hospitable host than Socrates. I highly recommend this location for anyone wanting a truly relaxing holiday in a beautiful place away from the masses.Ali2016/2018

3The location of the house is great . It was wonderful to hear the sea so close at night. The place was accurately described and everything we wanted in a quiet, relaxing beach retreat. We were close to many local restaurants and tavernas and enjoyed the local food and fish.Gina2017/18/19

4What a find, this is a beautifully relaxed place to stay…..Sit back and kick your shoes off. Listen to the waves, lay on your back and look at the stars, watch the storm roll in as the sky changes from bright blue to dark grey…. Walk on the beach and collect drift wood, or walk on the beach and listen to your thoughts. Read a book, write a book! listen to music, just be……. 2A mistral houses you will find a feeling of freedom, making a fire at the beach, having a swim 5 minutes after waking up, the feeling of being alone at a beautiful place. A little less luxury and a whole lot more happy feelings. We and our kids loved it.FemkeOctober 2018

3Socrates is a wonderful and warm harted dude. He is very friendly and a great host. The Mistral house was for us personaly a perfect place, but if you need more action an party, then look for a other place. If you like pure nature only some people arround you this place will be perfect for you. Socrates has a great wine and you will get one bottel 😉 The house has everything you need, a complete kitchen for cooking, inspiring decoration and his own beach. 1Our stay in Socrates house was everything we expected – and much more! It was as clean as it can get, the house itself was very cute, towels were changed regurlarly and Socrates was a helpful and superfriendly host. He provided a heap of toys for our little son and helped us immediately when our key broke. But the best part was, of course, the beach directly in front of the house. 2For me and my friend Karina was it Heaven on Earth. We loved the house, sound of the sea and the dogs who were passing by every day, to say ‘hello’…. We loved ‘George’ restaurant ( just 2 minutes walk from the house) and the restaurant of Stella (friend of Socrates). 20 minutes drive. The surrounding and atmosphere of the place felt very good. 0We have just enjoyed an amazing, relaxing week here. We have visited Greece many times but this is the first time to Corfu, simply stunning. The house was clean, bright and comfortable and so close to the beautiful long beach it really was the perfect spot. Socrates was a great host, always making sure we had everything we needed but always in a discreet way and with a smile on his face. The bottle of wine, locally produced was delicious – thank you! It is the perfect spot for touring the island, you will need a car but in the evenings there are three or four tavernas in walking distance if you don’t feel like cooking. We recommend this accommodation absolutely and we look forward to staying here again. JoelOctober 2020

1Pretty little bungalow just a few steps from the beach. The house is very clean and has moskito nets (you need moskito spray to sit outside). The house has all the kitchen basics that you need and is also kitted out with a washing machine. Thanks again for the wonderful stay at your house! 2Socrates is a great host. Went out of his way to offer lifts to the main town for shopping, took us to see some local historic ruins and ever so friendly and always available. The house is fantastic. The beach is just across the road, we could hear the sea waves and the birds singing. A very tranquil and relaxed placed, away from the crowds but very close to the main town. The house is very clean and bright and bed linen and towels changed frequently. We had an amazing time and will be back again. Thank you Socrates for everything.AnnaSeptember 2018
